Stacy Cheavens, Senior Medical Illustrator, is the most recent addition to the Editorial and Creative Media team at the New England Journal of Medicine. She has over two decades of experience in the field of medical illustration, most of which was with the University of Missouri, Columbia. She earned her Master of Science in Medical Illustration from the Medical College of Georgia. She has a strong background in 2D visualization of surgical and orthopedic topics, as well as patient education, internal medicine, obstetrics/gynecology, among other areas of medicine and science. Stacy is a member of the Association of Medical Illustrators and the Guild of Natural Science Illustrators.
