Alison E. Burke is an award-winning medical illustrator and Manager of Medical Illustration & Multimedia at the New England Journal of Medicine in Boston, Massachusetts. Prior to joining NEJM, she worked for as a Senior Medical Illustrator at the Journal of the American Medical Association. Alison is a is a board-Certified Medical Illustrator (CMI), a professional member and Fellow of the Association of Medical Illustrators (AMI) and a member of the Guild of Natural Science Illustrators (GNSI). She holds a Master of Arts in Medical and Biological Illustration degree from the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, and a Daniel Müller Bachelor of Science degree from Cornell University.
